Lighthouse Villa Lanterna was originally constructed in 1881. on the south-eastern part of island Vir and is an official 1st class monument of culture.

Made of stone, the lighthouse building is categorised as a five star vacation house intended for accommodation of maximum 8 people.

Interior and exterior were completely renovated in 2012. in a mixture of traditional Mediterranean and modern style.

The lighthouse building is situated in a secluded pine-tree forest nearby an attractive rocky and sandy beach suitable for families and children.

In the immediate vicinity of the lighthouse there is a large regulated hunting-ground with mouflons, pheasants and quails.

Lighthouse merges with biking and trekking tracks that extend around the entire island.

A road bridge connects island Vir with the mainland, offering the opportunity to visit some very interesting landmarks located in proximity such as the historical jewel - town Nin, center of the region - Zadar, Plitvice lakes, Paklenica and Krka National Park.

The lighthouse building consists of two floors, total size 180 m². On the first floor there are four double bedrooms (two sized 21 m², one 17 m² and the smallest one 14 m²) each with its own bathroom (bathtub / toilet). The two larger rooms have access to a large round balcony that leans around the lighthouse tower and provides a panoramic sea view.

The ground floor consists of a well equipped kitchen, a stylishly furnished dining-room, a handy bathroom and a large living room.

Within the stone-wall surrounded, large inner lighthouse courtyard there is also a smaller building that serves as a mini-wellness and an outdoor sun-deck in the Mediterranean garden as well as a roofed outdoor grill.

Parking suitable for four vehicles is available in the outer enclosed yard.
